Muckross Walled Garden Centre
he
Walled Garden Centre, at Muckross, was officially opened in April
2000. Since then, the centre has become a popular destination
in its own right. Designed to form an integral part of the world
famous Muckross Gardens, the centre opens out onto the Victorian
Walled Garden. It is further complemented by the recreation of
a mid 19th century parterre* and recently restored Edwardian Glasshouses.
The
Walled Garden Centre houses The Garden
Restaurant, Mucros Craft Shop,
Mucros Weaving, Mucros
Pottery and the Conservation
Bookbinding workshop. Together, these elements combine to
form a very attractive visitor complex.
In
recent years, Muckross Craft Workshops have adopted 'Mucros' (the
Irish equivalent for Muckross) as a brand name for their high
quality goods. The brand has proved very successful, with Mucros
pottery, stationery and clothing now available both nationally
and internationally.
Why
not combine a visit to Mucros Craft Shop, the flagship for the
three Mucros Craft Workshops, with a meal in The Garden Restaurant?
You will find a wide choice of quality products, value for money
and friendly, attentive, service.
