Medium Size Farm
A farmyard type found in parts of the
north and west of Ireland but especially in west Munster
features parallel rows of buildings: here the outhouses
are built
in a continuous row at a distance from and parallel
to the dwelling house, with
the space between them serving as the farmyard. Mixed
farming was also practiced on this farm, which is representative
of a holding of 40 to 50 acres approximately.
